Square Inventory Sync
You sell a card at your table at a show, cash or card, on Square. That same card is live on eBay and on your website. PowerList TCG reads the sale back from Square and takes the card down everywhere else, so nobody online buys the copy you just handed over.
What Happens When a Card Sells on Square
Square takes it off its own count. Everything after that is PowerList TCG's job.
What Goes Into Square
You press List to Marketplace on Inventory. This is what shows up in your Square item library.
| Square Field | What PowerList TCG Sends |
|---|---|
| Item | One item per card and condition. A Near Mint and a Lightly Played copy are two items with their own price and count. |
| Name and Description | Built from your Square title and description settings, per game or one default for everything, or from a Design Studio template when one matches the card. |
| Photos | The front and the back, front first. |
| SKU | Your own SKU label when the card has one, so you can type it at the register and find the card. |
| Price | From your Square pricing rules, kept current by Market Price Sync. |
| Category | Game, then set under it, or game only, or none. You choose in Settings. |
| Sales Tax | Every sales tax turned on at your Square location, the same as an item you add in Square yourself. |
| Stock | The count at the one Square location you pick. Sell out and the count goes to 0; the item stays, ready for the next copy. |
Your show cards can live in the same bins as everything else, with the same labels. Someone asks for a card at the table, you type the label into Square and ring it up, and that copy comes off eBay and your website without you touching either one.
Things Worth Knowing
How Square fits with the rest of your stock.
Your Square Items Come In Once
Items already in Square are read in when you connect and pick your location. You match them to cards on Onboard Listings. After that, you list through PowerList TCG.
Counts Typed in Square Go Back
Change a count by hand in Square and PowerList TCG sets it back to its own number. Same for a price you type into Square on a card PowerList TCG prices.
Deleted in Square, Flagged in PowerList
Delete an item in Square and it lands in Needs Review on Inventory. You choose to list it again or leave it off. Nothing gets recreated behind your back.
Table Sales Skip the Pull Sheet
A card handed over at the counter is already gone, so it never shows up to pull. A Square Online order waits on the Order Pull Sheet until you fulfill it in Square.
Same Cards or Separate Stock
When a card you bring in from Square is already counted on eBay or from your scans, PowerList TCG asks whether those are the same copies or separate stock. It never guesses.
Square's Fee in Your Profit
Set the rate Square charges you in Settings, or leave it blank for Square's standard online rate. Analytics takes it off your Square sales.
Square: Common Questions
Do I need a Square Online site for this?
No. Cards you list from PowerList TCG show up in Square Point of Sale on your phone or tablet, so you can sell at a show or a counter with no website at all. If you do publish a Square Online site, the same cards are on it, and its orders come back the same way.
I already have items in Square. What happens to them?
When you connect Square and pick your location, the items already there are read in once. You match each one to its card on Onboard Listings, on the Square tab, and the price you set in Square stays yours. Nothing in Square changes while you review. That import happens once. Items you add straight in Square after that stay in Square, so list new cards from PowerList TCG and every marketplace counts them.
Can I use more than one Square location?
PowerList TCG keeps your stock at one Square location, the one you pick in Settings. Square Point of Sale and Square Online both sell from it. You can switch to another location as long as no cards are listed at the current one.
What if I change a count by hand in Square?
PowerList TCG sets it back to the number it has, and the Activity Log names the card. Your stock lives in one place, so a count typed into Square on its own would be out of step with eBay and your website.
Can I sell a whole set as one Square item?
No, and that is on purpose. Square's register search finds the item, not a card inside it, so every card goes to Square as its own item. Cards you sell as a variation listing on eBay or your website still go to Square one by one.
Does a refund put the card back in stock?
Not by itself. A refund shows up in Needs Review on Inventory, and you restock it there once you know the card is back in your hands.
